The holy scriptures explain to us so many things critical to our faith. One of those insights is found in the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 15. The first few verses set the tone of just how serious the chapter is. The gospel is defined as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus is the good news! He conquered death and provided THE way for us.
Notice the chapter then moves from the resurrection of Jesus to the resurrection of us (Christians). Essentially, we have come from the physical man (Adam) and after we are baptized (spiritually resurrected), we come from the spiritual man (Christ). (Also see Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12)
Still the focus on the chapter is our literal resurrection on the last day. We will be changed from perishable to imperishable. What an amazing day we have to look forward to as Christians! A day were we will not have to worry about aches, pains, hungry or other physical ailments. We will truly conquer death one day through Jesus Christ.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH THIS INFORMATION?
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
